Tk 270 crore revenue earned from 2nd largest land customs station |

Chapainawabganj-- (UNB) – The government has earned over Tk 270 crore in revenue from Sonamasjid land customs station in last 10 years. Sonamasjid, known as the second Benapole, has a history of earning highest taxes compared to any other land customs stations of the northern region. The other land customs stations in the region are Burimary, Biral, Mogalhat, Chilmary, Chilahati, Banglabandha and Hily. The rate of tax collection in the Sonamasjid customs station is marking a rise every year since its inception in 1991-92 fiscal. This year’s tax collection from the station rose to over Tk 39.52 crore. |
